You may need to change the funding source associated with a card - for example, switching from a debit to a credit account. Payhawk administrators can make this change, depending on how they want the card to be funded. > [!WARNING] > While the funding source of a card can be updated by switching between a debit and a credit account, the currency of the card cannot be changed. To update the funding source of a card: 1. In the [Payhawk web portal](https://portal.payhawk.com), go to **Cards** > **All cards**. 2. Select the desired employee's card. 3. Click on its three-dot menu and select the **Change funding source** option. 4. From the drop-down menu, select the desired debit or credit account from which you want to fund the card. 5. Click on **Save changes**. ![The Change funding source dialog for an employee card in the Cards app, with the account drop-down open.](https://cdn.payhawk.com/navigation-redesign-didi_20261009_ai/changing-the-funding-source-of-employee-cards-01_20261009_ai.png)
