Go to **Company** > **Subscriptions**. 2. On the **Applications** tab, find **Accounts Payable** and turn it on. 3. Next to **Accounts Payable**, click on **Configure**. 4. Under **Enable functionality**, select **Enable Accounts Payable GL account override in AP purchase invoice and adjustment entry**. 5. Click on **Save**. ![Sage Intacct Configure Accounts Payable page with Enable Accounts Payable GL account override in AP purchase invoice and adjustment entry selected under Enable functionality](https://storage.googleapis.com/payhawk-cdn/Adm%3AIntegrations%3ASage%20Intacct/sage_intacct_configure_accounts_payable_enable_gl_override_20260827_manual.jpg) ## Step 2: Set the GL account alternative on the Accounts Payable account The general ledger account used for accounts payable must have a GL account alternative set, so that Payhawk can post vendor bills to it: 1. In Sage Intacct, go to **General Ledger** > **General Ledger accounts**. 2. Open your accounts payable account (for example, account number 20100, Accounts Payable). 3. Set **GL account alternative** to **Payables account**. 4. Make sure the account **Status** is **Active**, then save. ![Sage Intacct General Ledger account 20100 Accounts Payable with GL account alternative set to Payables account and Status Active](https://storage.googleapis.com/payhawk-cdn/Adm%3AIntegrations%3ASage%20Intacct/sage_intacct_gl_account_alternative_payables_account_20260827_manual.jpg) ## Step 3: Select the accounts payable account in Payhawk When you start setting up the [Sage Intacct integration in Payhawk](/help/connecting-payhawk-to-sage-intacct), open **Data mapping** > **Accounts payable** and select your accounts payable account: - For expenses paid to suppliers by bank transfer or card (exported as **Vendor Bill**), set the **Accounts payable account for vendor bills**. - For reimbursable expenses (exported as **Expense Report**), set the **Accounts payable account for reimbursable expenses**. ![Payhawk Data mapping page with the Accounts payable account for vendor bills set to Accounts Payable](https://storage.googleapis.com/payhawk-cdn/Adm%3AIntegrations%3ASage%20Intacct/sage_intacct_payhawk_data_mapping_accounts_payable_20260827_manual.jpg)
