# Connecting Payhawk to Visa

Payhawk Administrators can connect Payhawk to Visa, allowing the platform to receive authorization and settlement data for cardholder transactions. This connection enables seamless transaction data synchronization and management within Payhawk.

## The recommended way

Connecting the two systems happens automatically when a Payhawk Administrator at your company links the first corporate Visa card to Payhawk.

Only Payhawk Administrators can perform this initial linking. To do so, go to the Payhawk **Dashboard**, click on **Link a card**, and [follow the prompts](/help/linking-your-corporate-cards-to-payhawk#payhawk-dashboard). [Alternatively](/help/linking-your-corporate-cards-to-payhawk#linked-cards-tab), you can open the app switcher in the top-left corner, go to **Cards** > **Linked cards**, and click on **New** to link the first corporate card.

Once the first Visa card has been linked by a Payhawk Administrator, all cardholders at the company can [individually link](/help/linking-your-visa-card-to-payhawk) their own Visa cards from **Cards** > **Linked cards**, reached from the app switcher in the top-left corner.

## Connecting the two systems

To explicitly authenticate Visa with Payhawk from **Settings** > **Integrations** is also supported:

1. In the [Payhawk Web Portal](https://portal.payhawk.com), open the app switcher in the top-left corner and go to **Settings** > **Integrations**, then look under **Available integrations** for **Visa**.
2. In the **Visa** field, click on **Connect** and, then, on **Continue***.*

3. On the next screen, you'll need to check whether your Visa cards are eligible for individual or [bulk card linking](/help/linking-visa-cards-in-bulk). Look for your bank in the drop-down menu.

> If you've successfully linked your Visa card in Payhawk and want to add another corporate card from a different bank, you can enroll that card too without the need to repeat the Visa integration process.
  1. Provide the required verification data and click on **Continue**.
  2. On the success screen, select **Link your first card**. As a result, you'll be redirected to the **Cards** app to [link your card individually](/help/linking-your-visa-card-to-payhawk).

  1. Click on **Continue**.
  2. Next, [provide the required RPIC verification data](/help/linking-visa-cards-in-bulk) and click on **Continue**. For more information, see [Payhawk's Issuer guide for the required setup](/help/payhawk-s-issuer-guide-for-configuring-visa-bulk-enrollment).
  3. On the success screen, select **Assign**. As a result, you'll be redirected to the **Cards** app to [assign the bulk-linked cards to their proper cardholders](/help/assigning-bulk-linked-cards-to-their-cardholders).

## Disconnecting Visa from Payhawk

Disconnecting Visa from the Payhawk system will not close any linked Visa cards in Payhawk. However, you won't be able to link new Visa cards.

To disconnect Payhawk from Visa:

1. In the [Payhawk Web Portal](https://portal.payhawk.com), open the app switcher in the top-left corner and go to **Settings** > **Integrations**, where connected integrations are listed at the top of the page.
2. In the **Visa** field, click on **Disconnect**.
3. In the dialog that opens, click on **Disconnect** to confirm your choice.
