The Payhawk application, called **Payments Agent**, can be found in your **Apps** section and appears as shown in the following image. ![](https://cdn.payhawk.com/Help%20desk%20images%20moved/Employee_guide_for_using_Payhawk_s_Payments_AI_Agent_in_Slack_20250813_manual.png) This integration allows you to manage company cards and transactions directly within Slack. To fully utilize the Payhawk-Slack integration, you must authenticate, granting Slack access to your Payhawk data. > [!TIP] > When you are on the go, you can use the Payhawk application from the Slack mobile app or use the [Payhawk Mobile app](/help/getting-started-for-payhawk-cardholders). ## Authenticating in Slack Before you can use Slack to manage company cards and transactions, you must first authenticate to Slack. This Slack authentication is separate from how you sign in to Payhawk itself. Enabling SSO for your company's Payhawk login does not remove the need to authenticate in Slack. You still need to complete the steps below to take actions. - If your Slack and Payhawk emails match but you haven’t authenticated, you will still see the Payhawk app in Slack, but you won’t be able to take any actions. - If your Slack and Payhawk emails don’t match or you have multiple Slack accounts, you will see the Payhawk app in Slack but won’t be able to take any actions until you authenticate. As an employee, you can authenticate to Slack in the following way: 1. Go to Slack and select **Payments Agent**. If the Payhawk app is not visible in the list, click on **Add apps** and search for **Payments Agent**. 2. On the next screen, click on **Allow**. Alternatively, you will be prompted to authenticate to Slack by the Payments AI Agent once you try to do your first action. ## Using the Payments AI Agent in Slack The Payments AI Agent is a conversational tool, meaning that submitting a card or fund request can be done through "talking" to it and providing it with the necessary information: 1. Go to Slack and select the **Payments Agent** app. 2. Tell the Agent what you want to request. 3. The Agent will ask for any necessary information so it can provide the request data required for submission and submit your request. 4. Once the necessary data is collected, the Agent will summarize the state of your request and ask you to confirm. ## Updating the language preferences for Slack notifications [You can change the language of the notifications you receive in Slack from your profile settings](/help/changing-your-language-preference). > [!TIP] > The change will only apply to new messages; previously sent notifications will remain in the original language. ## Useful resources - [Overview of the Payments AI Agent](/help/overview-of-the-payments-ai-agent) - [Connecting the Payments AI Agent to Slack](/help/connecting-the-payments-ai-agent-to-slack)
