Notes longer than 60 characters are shortened. > [!WARNING] > If a note is too long for DATEV, Payhawk now shortens it automatically during the export. This error can still show on expenses that failed to export before Payhawk started shortening long notes automatically. ## Error message ```plaintext Note should be between 0 and 60 characters long. ``` ## Affected ERP integrations - DATEV ## Cause DATEV accepts notes of up to 60 characters. If a note is longer than that, Payhawk keeps the first 57 characters and adds "..." at the end, so the export goes through. This applies to all expense types. ## Solution Export the expense again. You don’t need to edit the **Note** field. If the full note must appear in DATEV, shorten it to 60 characters or fewer before you export, so that the text is not cut off.
