Please make sure you have mapped Departments/Teams correctly. ## Error message ```plaintext Invalid department provided. Please make sure you have mapped Departments/Teams correctly. ``` ## Relevant ERP integrations - Oracle NetSuite ## Cause The custom field mapping was not completed successfully. ## Solution 1. Check the mapping for the selected team. ![Edit team panel with the external ID of each entity, no department selected](https://cdn.payhawk.com/Adm%3AIntegrations%3AError%20messages/Invalid_department_provided_1_20261020_ai.png) This example demonstrates the absence of a selected **Department** while an old mapping exists. ![Team panel showing the external IDs already mapped for each entity](https://cdn.payhawk.com/Adm%3AIntegrations%3AError%20messages/Invalid_department_provided_2_20261020_ai.png) 2. Update the mapping correctly in the following way. ![Edit team panel with the NetSuite departments listed in the External ID drop-down](https://cdn.payhawk.com/Adm%3AIntegrations%3AError%20messages/Invalid_department_provided_3_20261020_ai.png) 3. Since **Team** is a custom field in the expense, navigate to the expense, select a different team, re-select the correct one, and re-export the data.
