The integration encompasses all financial activities within the platform, including both centrally managed expenses as well as employee-related expenses and separate FX and POS fees. ## Master data and custom fields The following diagram summarizes the data that is automatically synced between the two systems. ![Diagram of master data and custom fields synced between Payhawk and DualEntry: categories, tax rates, bank accounts, custom fields, teams, and subsidiaries are read from DualEntry, and suppliers sync both ways](https://storage.googleapis.com/payhawk-cdn/Adm%3AIntegrations%3ADual%20Entry/Overview_of_shared_data_with_Dual_Entry_master_data_20261029_manual.png) ## Reviewed expenses and settled payments The following diagram shows the exchanged data regarding reviewed expenses and settled payments between the Payhawk and Dual Entry systems. ![Diagram of reviewed expenses and settled payments exported from Payhawk to DualEntry, showing which DualEntry record each Payhawk expense and payment type becomes, such as bills, vendor payments, direct expenses, journal entries, vendor credits, and bank feed transactions](https://storage.googleapis.com/payhawk-cdn/Adm%3AIntegrations%3ADual%20Entry/Overview_of_shared_data_with_Dual_Entry_expenses_payments_20261029_manual.png) ## Exported data fields to Dual Entry Payhawk exports the following data fields to the Dual Entry system: - **Supplier** - If the supplier does not yet exist in the Dual Entry, Payhawk will notify the user that this may be a new supplier and will display the option to create it from Payhawk or, if the user role is Employee, to request so from an Administrator role. - **Category** - Mapped to the Dual Entry chart of accounts. - **Document number** - **Service period** - Once the Payhawk administrator changes the **Service period** date in Payhawk, it will overwrite the **Document date** of the expense posted in the ERP system. - **Due date** - For all bank expenses, Payhawk exports the due date. If no due date has been entered, Payhawk uses the expense date as a due date. - **Note** - The Note field for the expense in Payhawk is shown in the **Description** field of the expense in Dual Entry. - **Document image** - **Amount** - The total amount minus the tax rate for the expense. - **Currency** - **VAT Rate** - The tax rate provided by Dual Entry. - **Payhawk bank account** - Mapped to the bank account in Dual Entry. - **Tracking categories** - Payhawk imports Dual Entry dimensions and allows them to be used as expense fields. - **Fees** - When there is a fee to the transaction, that fee will create a separate payment journal entry in the dedicated account during the connection to the ERP system. ## Next steps - [Connecting Payhawk to Dual Entry](/help/connecting-payhawk-to-dual-entry) - [FAQ on the Payhawk-Dual Entry integration](/help/faq-on-the-payhawk-dual-entry-integration)
