# Trip lifecycle statuses

Trips are assigned different statuses that reflect their stage in the travel lifecycle. You can have an overview of all trips and their respective statuses in the [**Trips** app](/help/overview-of-the-trips-app).

## Trip lifecycle statuses

- **Pending review** – The trip is in the **Review** tab (if reviews are part of the workflow) and awaits review by assigned employees.
- **Pending approval** – The trip is in the **Approve** tab and awaits approval by assigned employees. Note that this status will be assigned to the trip even if the trip is partially approved.
- **Pending rebooking** – The trip awaits rebooking by the employee, because, even though it had previously been approved, the trip request has failed for some reason.
- **Upcoming** – The trip is approved, booked, and it’s about to happen.
- **Active** – The trip is ongoing at the moment.
- **Completed** – The trip has already passed.
