Payhawk Labs Sandbox accounts provide a secure, isolated environment to test and explore Labs features before you enable them in your live production account.
Payhawk Labs Sandbox accounts are standard demo environments, with no expiration date. As a Payhawk Administrator, you can use Sandbox accounts to safely test new features without impacting your real financial data or production settings.
By default, all Beta features are disabled in a new Sandbox account, in which you can selectively enable features and evaluate their impact.
Notes on administrating Sandbox accounts
Since Sandbox accounts are individual entities, you cannot use this test environment for group-only features such as group-level workflows or reporting.
To ensure smooth operation and collaboration within your Sandbox accounts, note the following:
When you enable a feature in your Production account, Payhawk will automatically ask if you want to test it in the Sandbox account first.
The Administrators who activate the Sandbox account are the initial users who can then invite other Administrators to collaborate.
If a Sandbox account already exists, other Administrators must request access from the initial user rather than activate a duplicate account.
You can activate and manage Sandbox accounts independently, for example, if a Sandbox account is closed, you can provision a new one immediately using the same process.
For group accounts, Sandbox management must occur at the group level, though the Sandbox itself remains a single entity and does not join the production group. Only group Administrators can create Sandbox accounts and invite other users.
