Changing the funding source of employee cards

The funding source in Payhawk is the bank account that provides the funds for a specific employee card and can be either a debit or credit account.

You may need to change the funding source associated with a card - for example, switching from a debit to a credit account. Payhawk administrators can make this change, depending on how they want the card to be funded.

While the funding source of a card can be updated by switching between a debit and a credit account, the currency of the card cannot be changed.

To update the funding source of a card:

  1. In the Payhawk web portal, go to Cards > Cards.

  2. Select the desired employee's card.

  3. Click on its three-dot menu and select the Change funding source option.

  4. From the drop-down menu, select the desired debit or credit account from which you want to fund the card.

  5. Click on Save changes.
