The Payhawk Payments Agent is a smart tool designed to help you manage your company cards and transactions more efficiently. It works directly within communication platforms like Slack, providing real-time alerts and allowing you to take quick actions related to your cards.

How the Payments Agent works for employees

With the Payhawk-Slack integration, employees can gain independence in managing payments, understanding issues, and resolving them instantly.

To fully utilize the integration, employees must first authenticate, granting Slack access. For more information, see the employee guide for setting up the Slack connection.

The Payhawk-Slack connection enables employees to do the following:

  • Fix failed card transactions, request funds, and freeze or unfreeze cards, with quick commands in Slack.

  • Get real-time notifications with information about failed card transactions, with clear, actionable steps on how to resolve the issue on the spot.

  • Ask general knowledge questions about Payhawk's features, policies, and how-to-guides.

How the Payments Agent is activated by Payhawk administrators

For the Payments Agent to become active, Payhawk administrators need to:

  1. Enable the Payments Agent in Payhawk.

  2. Connect Payhawk to Slack (or another communication channel) so the Agent can automatically plug in your company's card management process through the communication channel.
