Managing request types on the group level

Prev Next

Request types can be created and managed centrally, applying to all or part of the entities within your group's Payhawk account.

Creating request types for the group

If a new group request type shares the same name as an existing entity type - for example, both are named Software, the existing entity type will be renamed to Software(old) to resolve the naming conflict. The new group's inherited request type will then be displayed as Software in the entity.

To create a request type that can be enabled for all or some entities within your group:

  1. From the Group Dashboard, navigate to Settings > Requests.

  2. Click the New button.

  3. Follow the steps for creating request types for an individual entity - apart from you needing to select the entities to which the request type will apply, they are identical at the group level.

To configure built-in request fields at the group level:

  1. From the Group Dashboard, navigate to Settings > Requests.

  2. Select the desired request.

  3. Follow the steps for request field configuration that apply to individual entities, as they are identical at the group level.

You can copy request types from an existing entity and apply them to the group by pulling the relevant settings:

  1. From the Group Dashboard, navigate to Settings > Requests.

  2. Click on the three-dot menu and select Pull from entity.

  3. In the dialog that opens, select the desired entity from the drop-down list and click Apply.
