Working with the Payhawk AI Agents

The Payhawk AI Agents enable you complete common tasks in the Payhawk system by chatting with an assistant, instead of doing everything manually. Whether you need to submit expenses, book travel, manage company cards, or make procurement requests, you can interact with the AI Agents in Slack, the Payhawk web portal, or the mobile app to get things done more efficiently.

What can the Payhawk AI Agents do for you

Payhawk offers a suite of AI Agents, including the Travel, Financial Controller, Procurement, and Payments Agents, to assist employees with a wide range of tasks through chat interactions.

If you’re unsure exactly what each Payhawk AI Agent can do, you can ask them directly.

The following list provides a few examples of how these AI Agents can help you optimize your daily tasks:

  • With the Travel AI Agent, you can manage your business travel needs by selecting a travel account, searching for flights and stays based on your preferences and company policy, booking and creating new travel requests, and viewing or editing your existing travel plans.

  • With the Financial Controller AI Agent, you can efficiently manage expense submissions by uploading documents, updating fields, retrieving or selecting expenses, correcting errors, and un-submitting expenses when needed. You can also streamline expense approvals, get detailed information or summaries of pending items, and easily manage your account notifications, including retrieving and updating your settings.

  • With the Procurement AI Agent, you can create new requests for goods and services, while being guided through each step to ensure all necessary information is provided and your request complies with company policies. At any time, you can also receive a summary of your request for clarity and review.

  • With the Payments AI Agent, you can efficiently manage your company card activity by resolving payment issues, requesting funds, freezing or unfreezing your card, and ordering a new card. Additionally, you’ll receive clear guidance on Payhawk payments and related topics to ensure smooth and transparent spending.

Conversing with the AI Agent in the portal

You can directly start conversing with the AI Agent in the Payhawk web portal by starting a chat on the Dashboard screen or by clicking the AI Office icon next to your profile picture. Either way, the AI Office screen will load and you can continue your communication.

You can also view the history of your conversations with the AI Agent from the AI Office screen by clicking on History.

Conversing with the AI Agent in the app

You can also directly access the AI Agent from the Payhawk mobile app by starting a chat on the Dashboard screen or by clicking on the AI Office icon. Either way, the AI Office screen will load and you can continue your communication.

You can also view the history of your conversations with the AI Agent from the AI Office screen by clicking on History.

Using the AI Agents in Slack

You can ask questions or complete tasks with the AI Agents in Slack, provided your company’s Payhawk Administrator has enabled this communication channel.
