Exporting deposits to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance

Prev Next

Once the connection between Payhawk and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance is established, deposits received into your Payhawk currency accounts are automatically recorded as journal entries in the General Journal configured within the Payhawk parameters in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance.

For example, if your Payhawk parameters specify that deposits should be recorded to the PayhawkRec journal, all deposit transactions will be posted there.

Journal voucher details showing transaction date, amount, and account information.

The account credited for the deposit is determined by the General expenses account selected within Payhawk as part of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance connector settings. This account typically represents funds in transit or a clearing account used to track money moving between your bank and your Payhawk account.

For example, if you have configured the Cash in Transit account as the General expenses account in the Payhawk connector, then:

  • The deposit into Payhawk will be recorded as a credit to the Cash in Transit account.

  • The debit will be posted to the corresponding Payhawk currency account (for example, your Payhawk account in EUR).

This setup ensures that your deposits are accurately reflected in your accounting ledger and reconciled properly.
