BambooHR is a cloud-based Human Resource Information System (HRIS) designed to help small and medium-sized businesses manage employee information, onboarding, time off, and performance in one place.
Payhawk supports integration with BambooHR through utilizing the Merge API.
To successfully connect Payhawk with your HR system, first review the Payhawk connection recommendations and the Merge setup guide to cover all requirements.
Connecting to BambooHR
To connect Payhawk to the BambooHR HR Information System:
Go to Settings > Integrations > Available integrations > HR.
Go to the BambooHR card and click on Connect.
Select the checkbox and click on Continue.
In the dialog that opens, select the option that applies to your use case:
Use my credentials (recommended) will authenticate the Administrator User via API.
Use my API key or access token will authenticate the Service User or the whole HR system with the applicable API key.
In the dialog that opens next, select I am a admin and then, click on Next.
Enter your BambooHR domain and click on Next.

As a result, Payhawk will connect and fetch data from your HR system. Once the process is complete, you can review the data that will be synced between the systems. Click on Continue.
Complete the process by clicking on Done. As a result, employees will be automatically retrieved into the Payhawk system and your active BambooHR integration will now be visible in the Settings > Integrations > Active section.
Disconnecting from BambooHR
To disconnect from your active BambooHR integration:
Go to the Settings > Integrations > Active section and find BambooHR.
Click on its three-dot menu and select Disconnect.
