Deel is a global HR and payroll platform that enables companies to hire, onboard, and pay international employees and contractors while managing compliance and administrative processes in one unified system.
Payhawk supports integration with Deel by utilizing the Merge API.
To successfully connect Payhawk with your HR system, first review the Payhawk connection recommendations and the Merge setup guide to cover all requirements.
Connecting to Deel
To connect Payhawk to the Deel platform:
Go to Settings > Integrations > Available integrations > HR.
Go to the Deel card and click on Connect.
Select the checkbox and click on Continue.

In the dialog that opens, select the option that applies to your use case:
Use my credentials (recommended) will authenticate the Administrator User via API.
Use my API key or access token will authenticate the Service User or the whole HR system with the applicable API key.
Next, select I am an admin.
On the following screen, select the type of the account your are connecting, confirm that you grant access to Payhawk to the HR data, and click on Next.
Click on Open window.

Once the authorization process is successfully completed, confirm you grant access to Merge to your data by clicking on Allow.
Once the account is set up and all custom fields fetched, you will be asked to map your additional custom fields. If any, map them and click on Save.
On the success screen, click on Finish setup.

Once the connection process is finished, employees will be automatically retrieved into the Payhawk system and your active Deel integration will now be visible in the Settings > Integrations > Active section.
Disconnecting from Deel
To disconnect from your active Deel integration:
Go to the Settings > Integrations > Active section and find Deel.
Click on its three-dot menu and select Disconnect.
