Connecting Payhawk to Okta

Okta is a cloud-based identity management platform that connects HR systems with IT to automate user lifecycle processes such as onboarding, updating, and offboarding employees.

Payhawk supports integration with Okta through utilizing the Merge API.

Connecting to Okta

To connect Payhawk to the Okta HR Information System:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Available integrations > HR.

  2. Go to the Okta card and click on Connect.

  3. Select the checkbox and click on Continue.

  4. In the dialog that opens, click on I am an admin. Then, on Next.

  5. Provide the credentials required to connect to Okta and click on Next.

  6. As a result, Payhawk will connect and fetch data from your HR system. Once the process is complete, you can review the data that will be synced between the systems. Click on Continue.Data fetching screen displaying employee count, groups, and location information.

  7. Complete the process by clicking on Done. As a result, employees will be automatically retrieved into the Payhawk system and your active Okta integration will now be visible in the Settings > Integrations > Active section.

Disconnecting from Okta

To disconnect from your active Okta integration:

  1. Go to the Settings > Integrations > Active section and find Okta.

  2. Click on its three-dot menu and select Disconnect.
