If you’re trying to unfreeze an employee’s card in Payhawk, you can encounter an issue with the Unfreeze card toggle button that appears greyed out and you cannot interact with it.

This issue occurs when an employee's status is set to Inactive in your connected HR Information System (HRIS), for example, when the employee is on a long leave.
When an employee is marked as Inactive in your HRIS, the following happens automatically:
The unfreeze card option in Payhawk becomes unavailable to maintain compliance with the employee's inactive status.
The employee's Payhawk account is temporarily removed from the entity while they are inactive.
To fix this issue, the Payhawk Administrator must change the status of the employee in the HRIS back to Active. Once the HRIS syncs the updated information with Payhawk, the Unfreeze card toggle button becomes clickable again, the card must remain on its initial state, and the employee is automatically reinvited to the entity.
If your HRIS integration is enabled at the group level but you don't see it as active, your admin account only has access to a single entity. Check with your internal teams to confirm whether an HRIS integration is active for the entire group.
