Error message

No access to your Exact Online division. Please check your access before trying an expense export.

Affected ERP integrations

  • Exact Online

Cause

This error occurs when the user account that was used to connect the Payhawk integration to Exact Online has had their access to the connected division revoked. Without access to the division, Payhawk is unable to export expenses or perform any operations within that division.

Solution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Log in to your Exact Online account using the user that connected the Payhawk integration.

  2. Click on My Exact Online from the top right menu in the Exact Online portal.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the menu and locate the Rights section.

  4. Click on the Companies: Access rights button in the top right of the screen.

Buttons for saving, resetting, and managing access rights in a user interface.

  5. In the dialog that opens, verify that the division connected to Payhawk is not listed under the No rights section:

    • If the division appears under No rights, you will need to restore the appropriate access rights for this division by moving it to the correct access level.

User management interface displaying user details and company rights settings.

  6. Additionally, navigate to Rights > General > System and verify that the Manage Subscription option is checked for the user.

Settings menu displaying user roles and permissions, highlighting subscription management options.

  7. Save any changes made.

  8. Return to Payhawk and attempt to export the expense again. The export must now be successful.

If access rights cannot be restored for the current connecting user, reconnect the Payhawk integration using a user account that has full access to the relevant Exact Online division.
