If you can't log in to Payhawk because the two-factor authentication code is sent to a phone number you no longer use, you can either try to fix this yourself, or ask a Payhawk Administrator at your company to request the change on your behalf.
Changing your number from the Mobile App
If you have an ongoing session in the Payhawk Mobile App, you can change your phone number yourself.
If, apart from SMS, another second-factor method is enabled, you can log in to the Payhawk Mobile App by using that method and then change your phone number.
Asking a Payhawk Administrator for help
To update the old phone number so you can log in, you can also ask a Payhawk Administrator at your company to send the request on your behalf:
Ask a Payhawk Administrator to send an email from their registered Payhawk email address to support@payhawk.com.
In the email, the Administrator must include your name, your old phone number, and your new phone number, with the full country code, for example, +44 for the UK.
Once Payhawk updates the phone number, the verification code is sent to your new phone number so you can log in.
Once you log in again, you can update your phone number yourself from the Payhawk Mobile App, so the number stays updated for future logins.
You also need a verified phone number to register a trusted device. Payhawk will ask you to verify your number before you can set up a trusted device for push authentication. Once Payhawk updates the number and you verify it, you can add your trusted device.
