If Payhawk is not successfully fetching employee data from your HR system, review the following potential causes and solutions.
Connection requirements
Before initiating the connection, ensure all requirements are met. Refer to the article about connecting your HR system to Payhawk.
Authorization and access
Payhawk requires proper authorization to access and read data from your HR system. Verify the following:
Administrator permissions - The user connecting Payhawk and the HR system must have Administrator permissions in both systems.
Read access - Grant Read access to the sections or attributes containing employee details (Name, Email, Phone Number, Company).
Connection keys - Ensure the Client ID/Token or API key/Domain are correctly entered into the Payhawk setup wizard.
For more information, see the section on setting up a proper connection between the two systems.
HR System specifics
The specific actions for setting up authorizations may vary depending on your HR system. For system-specific instructions, see the Payhawk guides for connecting with supported HR systems.
Disconnected HR system
If the HR system was previously connected, ensure it has not been disconnected. Disconnecting prevents further automatic synchronization.
Merge authentication
For issues related to authenticating your HRIS account with Merge, consult the Merge HRIS Authentication guides help pages.
