Troubleshooting the PPF connection

Prev Next

This article covers common reasons for issues when using the Payhawk-French national eInvoice system (PPF) integration and provides hints to prevent or resolve them.

Resolving the SIREN registration error

PPF registration can fail on the eInvoicing integration card with the Le SIREN en entrée n'existe pas ou la date de début d'effet de ligne annuaire est antérieur à la date de début d'effet de ce SIREN message.

This message means that the French directory (annuaire) has no record of your SIREN number. The French directory returns the message, not Payhawk. Before a platform such as Payhawk can register your company, PPF must first list the company in the annuaire. The error is unrelated to whether your company is exempt from VAT.

To resolve the error:

  1. Confirm that your company is in scope for the French eInvoicing reform on the French tax administration website.

  2. Contact your SIE (service des impôts des entreprises) if your company is in scope but the SIREN number is not listed in the annuaire.

  3. Call the free DGFiP national helpline on 0 806 807 807 for questions about the reform.

  4. Check your company data on the INSEE Sirene website if your company was created or re-registered recently. Use the INSEE correction form if the SIREN number is missing there. Company data can exist at the commercial court registry (RNE/INPI) before it reaches INSEE/Sirene, which the annuaire draws from.

  5. Retry the connection from Settings > Integrations > eInvoicing once the company appears in the annuaire. Nothing needs to be changed on the Payhawk side.
