Fall’26 Edition: Prompt your finance

Prev Next

Discover Payhawk’s Fall ’26 Edition with the new Payhawk MCP, ready-to-run Playbooks, AI-native ERP integrations, a richer travel booking experience, and wider eInvoicing coverage, putting your finance data and your recurring finance work one prompt away from the AI tools your team already uses.

Prompt your finance

The Payhawk MCP: Your spend, one conversation away

The Payhawk MCP connects your Payhawk account to AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Codex. Ask questions about your spend and take action in plain language without opening the Payhawk Web Portal. Every action stays scoped to what your role can already do in Payhawk, so your approvals and audit trail always apply.

Playbooks turn recurring finance jobs, such as closing the books, chasing receipts, and reconciling spend, into guided, repeatable steps. Start from a ready-made playbook or build your own for the way your team works.

Payhawk AI Agents: From one task to full close, guided every step of the way

The Payhawk AI Agents now come with core skills and shared playbooks. Playbooks turn recurring finance jobs, such as closing the books, chasing receipts, and reconciling spend, into guided, repeatable steps. Start from a ready-made playbook or build your own for the way your team works. Whether you work through your company's AI assistant via the Payhawk MCP or directly in Payhawk with the AI Agents, both single tasks and long, step-by-step procedures are triggered to cover you wherever suits you best.

AI Office of the CFO

Go live faster with the Implementation AI Agent by your side

The Implementation AI Agent walks new accounts through the entire setup - from company details and employees to cards and first spend. With prompts from the Agent, you can build your own workflows, connect your ERP, and map accounts and data between the two systems, without needing to know where to start.

Financial Controller AI Agent is in Microsoft Teams

The Financial Controller AI Agent now works in Microsoft Teams, alongside Slack, email, and the Pyahawk Web Portal and the Mobile App. You can now receive receipt reminders, approve expenses, and chat with the Agent in the tool your company already runs on, and take advantage of the multi-receipt matching and batch approval skills of the AI Agent.

Payments AI Agent delivers insights and role-aware answers

The Payments AI Agent now analyzes your Payhawk data in conversation and answers questions about bills, subscriptions, and spend patterns in plain English with the figures returned straight to the chat, no report to build. It covers cards, transactions, and reimbursements beyond your own, always limited to what your role can see.

AI-native ERP integrations

Pennylane integration

The Payhawk-Pennylane integration is now native. Expenses, payments, and supplier data flow between Payhawk and Pennylane automatically, cutting the manual work in your accounting workflows.

Integrations improvements

Credit card charge export to Oracle NetSuite

You can now export card transactions to Oracle NetSuite as credit card charges, so card spend lands on the right account and reconciles against the card statement.

Split of bulk payments in DATEV

Bulk payments now export to DATEV split into their individual payments instead of one combined entry, so each supplier payment matches its own bill during reconciliation.

Faster HR system connection

Connecting your HR system to Payhawk is now quicker to set up. Filter which employees sync, invite them without sending a notification, and move through a clearer setup wizard.

Enhanced travel experience

Multi-city trips

The Travel AI Agent now books trips across several cities in one request. Choose a flight for each leg, then add a hotel for each city, and submit the whole itinerary as a single trip request.

Group booking

You can now book one trip for several travelers at once. Each traveler keeps their own policy, approvals, and expenses, while the trip stays visible as a single booking.

Multiple trip types

Set up separate trip types for different kinds of travel, each with its own policy and approval workflow. The Travel AI Agent picks the matching type from the purpose of the trip and tells the traveler which one it chose.

Approval based on policy

Trip requests now route for approval based on how they sit against your travel policy. In-policy trips can move straight through, while out-of-policy trips go to the right approver.

Automated per diems

When a trip type uses per diem mode, Payhawk prices the per diem from the itinerary and creates the expense as soon as the trip request is approved. The traveler reviews and submits the draft instead of filling in a claim from scratch.

Automatic rebooking at a better rate

The Travel AI Agent keeps watching the price of fully refundable hotel bookings and rebooks the same stay automatically when it finds a lower rate, so the trip costs less without anyone tracking prices.

Accounts payable and controls

eInvoicing in Finland and Italy

Payhawk now sends and receives electronic invoices in Finland and Italy, extending eInvoicing coverage as more European countries move to mandatory electronic invoicing.

Segregation of duties for vendor changes

Changes to supplier bank details now go through a second pair of eyes. One user requests the change and another approves it before any payment uses the new details, a key safeguard against payment fraud.

Card reassignment

When an employee leaves, you can transfer their card to a new owner instead of cancelling it. Merchant locking applies automatically, so active subscriptions and ad spend keep running without an update at the supplier.

Supplier remittance advice

Payhawk now sends suppliers a remittance advice, complete with a secure status page and downloadable PDF confirmation, no login needed. Suppliers can track and reconcile payments themselves, freeing your Finance team from payment status queries.
