eInvoicing: Payhawk realises solution for new invoice management requirements

In Germany, this law mandates the ability to receive and process eInvoices in B2B transactions for all taxable transactions above EUR 250.00, starting from January 1, 2025.

The company offers a seamless solution designed to support eInvoicing mandates and facilitate the receipt processing of B2B eInvoices, supporting common formats like XRechnung and ZUGFeRD. Payhawk enables the automated processing of eInvoices within its application, including the generation of PDFs from XRechnung and ZUGFeRD. The platform also supports OCR (Optical Character Recognition), allowing for extraction of data from readable document in over 60 languages. Integration with common ERP systems such as Netsuite, Microsoft Dynamics and DATEV facilitates smooth data synchronisation, automatic invoicing processes and helping businesses save time and resources.

Johannes Zimmermann, Marketing Director at Payhawk Germany, emphasizes: “eInvoicing streamlines invoice management in companies, provided that integration of electronic formats is seamless from the outset. With this solution, customers can automate eInvoicing processes saving over 30 percent of manual efforts and speeding up month-end closing by around 50 percent. Real-time synchronization with ERP systems ensures that users can always monitor their upcoming expenses and available funds.

As part of the broader move to electronic payment formats across Europe, Payhawk is prioritising markets based on regulatory timelines and customer demand. The company is also planning to support new eInvoicing formats in countries such as France and Spain, facilitating businesses in international markets to meet local eInvoicing requirements.
