London, 24 September 2026 — Payhawk, the AI-native spend management platform, has unveiled a new brand film exploring how the way businesses manage spend affects the daily lives of the people behind them, and the role technology can play in creating more space for what matters most.

The film is part of Value Generation, a branded content series exploring how financial technology can improve everyday life. Presented by Innovate Finance and produced by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions, it follows Payhawk co-founder and CEO Hristo Borisov and Anatolli, a long-haul driver at logistics company and Payhawk customer Discordia. Their parallel stories bring a personal perspective to a question that reaches beyond finance: as technology becomes more capable, what should it make possible in people’s lives?

Two journeys, a shared sense of purpose

One has set out to build a global technology company from Bulgaria. The other has spent years crossing Europe’s borders, carrying the responsibility of each journey and the pull of home. Both are building something that matters to them, sustained by dedication, adaptability and the people they care about.

For Hristo, the story is about the conviction to pursue an idea, the uncertainty of building a business and the future he hopes to help shape for his children. For Anatolli, it is about pride in a demanding profession, the discipline that keeps him moving and the family connections that give those journeys meaning.

Together, their experiences put a human face to the systems that support business. Behind an expense is someone doing a job. Behind a growing company are people investing their effort, taking risks and making plans for the future.

Payhawk appears within those everyday realities: managing expenses, handling payments and helping take the friction out of business spending. The film explores why simpler processes matter to the people navigating them, and how technology can offer support without demanding more of their attention.

Global ambition, built from Europe

Founded in Bulgaria and headquartered in London, Payhawk’s own journey reflects an ambition to build technology in Europe that serves businesses around the world. The film connects that international ambition with the practical needs of people whose working lives already span countries and borders.

It also brings a personal dimension to the company’s recent milestones. In July, Payhawk announced that it had surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue, reaching Centaur status following a two-year transformation of its products and operations around AI.

The film offers a glimpse into the working lives of truck drivers already using AI in their daily routines. At Discordia, Payhawk’s Procurement Agent processes between 2,500 and 3,000 requests per month without human involvement, taking on work that previously required lengthy manual processing by the operations team.

Launched in September, Payhawk’s Fall ’26 Edition, Prompt your finance, builds on this approach with Playbooks: procedures that carry out recurring finance jobs through AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, using live Payhawk data and existing user permissions. The release extends the company’s focus on reducing the effort involved in everyday finance work.

The film explores the human purpose behind that progress: what people gain when managing business spending takes less of their attention.

Hristo Borisov, co-founder and CEO of Payhawk, said:

Building Payhawk from Bulgaria has always meant thinking beyond borders. We wanted to create something that could matter to businesses anywhere, by solving problems people experience every day. Reaching $100 million in ARR is an important milestone, but the ambition behind it remains personal. People have work they take pride in, families they care about and ideas they want to pursue. As technology becomes more capable, it should ask less of their time and attention. That is the progress we want to contribute to, and the human purpose this film brings into view.
