FAQs
Yes, Payhawk is an official Microsoft ISV partner. Payhawk is the first end-to-end spend management vendor listed on the Microsoft AppSource Marketplace. This means that once you connect Payhawk and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, you are sure to have the best possible data flow and always be on the latest version of our integration.
The connector has been built with the Microsoft 365 API, which allows both systems to communicate directly and without the need for additional hosting resources.
Before an integration can start, the ‘Software Deployable Package’ needs to be installed. In special cases with high levels of customization, your Microsoft consultant might need to be involved. Once those are set, the self-administered setup of the integration takes about 15 - 20 minutes. However, if you require any support, the Payhawk customer support team will be happy to assist you.
Payhawk extracts data from various modules, including vendors, chart of accounts, expenses, and tax rates (VAT tax group and item VAT tax group).
For pushing data into Dynamics F&O, Payhawk provides three distinct options to its customers:
- Data push to the invoice journal (for both projects and general ledger codes), which incorporates both the invoice journal and the payment journal.
- Data push to the general ledger journal
- Data push to the expense reports
Payhawk differentiates between invoice/receipt and payment recognition dates.
Payhawk supports multiple line items on a single expense, and they are exported into Microsoft.
Yes, customers can choose the project and project category. The category will become the debit (Dr) and the vendor will become the credit (Cr).
We apply the key concepts of IAS 21 for FX transactions. When a card is used on a transaction which differs from the card currency, VISA/Mastercard will apply a FX rate and Payhawk will post this expense into Microsoft in the card’s currency using this rate. However, if the card currency differs from the base currency of Microsoft, there will be two FX translations, one given by VISA/Mastercard, and the other one given by the accounting system, like in the case of a foreign currency invoice.
Optionally, Payhawk can export bank statements in the native Dynamics Finance bank statement reconciliation module.
Payhawk’s Supplier Management module hosts your supplier data in sync with Dynamics Finance, ensuring your Supplier Master Data is always up to date. You can manage and create vendors directly in the Payhawk platform. We also keep an audit log to track any change to Supplier Information made by your admins or accountants.
The integration can be extended or customized to fit your requirements by our Solutions Engineering Team or authorized solution partners. Please contact your Account Executive for more information.
