It can be super time-consuming to scroll through all your expenses, search through lists to find any with missing actions, and check why there are delays. Thanks to the improved expense filter function, you can get into granular detail quickly. For example, when checking which card expenses have been rejected and why.
Analyzing expenses with filters gives you better insight into your direct and indirect costs. This increase in visibility lets you make better, more informed business decisions and avoid unnecessary expenses, including those out of policy.
By tracking your expenses efficiently, you can see how much the organization spends and adjust accordingly.
We've added seven new expense filters to our already long list of filters. They include:
Not only have we introduced seven new expense filters, but we’ve made the interface more user-friendly.
We have grouped our new filters by area. So you'll find filters like approval status, employee and expense type categorized as 'expenses.' While category, team, and projects are under 'categorization.' And 'supplier' groups suppliers, subscription filters, and more.
The updated format makes it much easier for you to navigate through different expenses. You can use the search bar provided or scroll through the list of subcategories to find your chosen expense filter.
Not only can you now filter the expenses by even more categories, but you can also save custom views to shortcut filters. Leveraging your saved custom views reduces the time spent finding expenses with missing documentation or looking for expenses yet to be submitted.
That's not all. You can even use the custom views to help flag any out-of-policy spending.
For example, if your policy states meal spend can't be more than $50 per person, you can create a custom view using the 'meal' category and 'total spend greater than $50' to quickly check if any employees are spending out of policy.
These custom views help automate expense management and help you proactively stay informed about all company expenses, allowing you to make real-time cost savings and deeper expense data insights.
To create your custom view, apply the required filters, i.e.' card' and 'document not uploaded', then click the 'save view' button. These actions save this custom view on your user account only to make your expense reporting processes more efficient, helping you take action accordingly when necessary.
Need more granular reporting? Now, you’ve got just that with many new options to help filter your expense data, letting you drill down into expense types to optimize how you spend as a business and move faster.
Make month-end even more accurate and efficient with our new expense filters and give your finance team the insight to make informed business decisions.
